Job description:

The Senior Retail Analyst will develop accurate forecasting for our 65+ store locations by analyzing customer demand and SKUs for our products on a weekly/monthly basis. Forecasting will be built based on statistics and data pulled from previous reports/calculated in the demand system.  Once forecast is set, they will provide demand expertise and lead a consensus meeting to review associated risks and opportunities. We are looking for a hands-on leader with a strong business understanding who is able to deliver successful results and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.  Superior attention to detail, organization, and tactful market analysis/sales information are key in this role as we look to improve overall fulfillment operations.  

Responsibilities:

  • Build/generate an accurate monthly forecast by customer/SKUs per location
  • Responsible for the consistency and the quality of the forecast
  • Build a solid partnership with the operations team
    • Good knowledge of our products/customers
    • Understand supply chain/financial issues and constraints
  • Configure demand planning system to provide an accurate baseline:
    • Ensure we have the right algorithm by customers/items
    • Ensure customer forecast is appropriate and SKUs setup properly in the system
    • Review data history, analyze previous month performances and reports
    • Meet with leadership to revise and develop customer forecasts and challenge baseline numbers when necessary (POS and ROS data analysis, customers, inventory, etc.)
  • Manages the catalogue of products/library
    • Analyze consistency of the catalogue and propose to discontinue underperforming SKUs
    • Prepare and review new product launches
  • Support supply planning by communicating key issues and uncertainty behind the forecast. Adjust forecasts as needed and explains main changes
    • Find errors in large data sets and identify significant data amid large volumes of routine information
  • Ownership –
    • The Demand Planner is responsible for designing/implementing their process to ensure that it is in line with  Juice Press SOP’s/best practices and rules.
    • Participate in the design of other company processes where involvement may be required
    • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or related field
  • 3-5 years experience in demand planning and forecasting preferably in food & beverage industry or large U.S. retailer
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite, particularly Excel
  • Role includes extensive data mining and spreadsheet analysis – strong mathematical abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and creative thinking with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to complex problems that may not have a clear answer
  • Analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data and build quantitative models
  • Strong attention to detail and scheduling
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize all deadlines in an accelerated environment
  • Focus on solutions, drive change, and thrive in a quick moving, evolving startup culture
  • Must be able to work in office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
